We are NUS HCI Lab:Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory at National University of Singapore - School of Computing. We regard creativity and cooperative social interaction as two key elements contributing to a strong and happy society. Our mission is to work on interfaces and interaction techniques to facilitate creative expressions as well as encourage cooperative social interactions,a.k.a. creative social interaction.

Maryam joins the lab
| 23 February,2012 Maryam Azh is from the NUS Graduate School of Integrative Sciences and Engineering. She has joined the lab as a Ph.D. student to do her thesis under Dr. Zhao Shengdong. Previously,Maryam obtained her Bachelors in Information Technology from York University. Her interests mainly lies in the field of user interface design. She is particularly interested in tactile user interfaces. She helps to organize the visits for guests. Maryam is always cheerful,and brings smiles to every lab member | ![]() |
NUS HCI Contributes to CHI 2012!
| 14 Feb,2012Once again,NUS HCI has made a strong showing in the annual ACM SIGCHI conference. The members of HCI Lab have authored/co-authored 2 papers and 2 notes.

Penny’s Visit!
| 17 January,2012 Penny,a visiting researcher from Malaysia,came for a visit to our lab! She gave a presentation about her past and current research projects. It was very exciting to hear about the types of project she did. We wish her all the best with her current projects. We too hope that she will join us for a longer stay next time! |
